Terms of agreement for Interior Design & Decoration services:
1. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
2. The initial consultation fee is for the initial meeting only it doesn’t include the cost of any products or services to carry out the specified works.
3. For projects over $1,100 (inc gst) in value, a deposit will be requested upon approval from the Client to proceed with the work. This must be paid prior to work beginning.
4. Payment will be required upon delivery of the individual design services listed above where it is completed within 4 weeks of our engagement. Monthly progress invoices will be issued for work taking longer than 4 weeks.
5. Payment is via cash, direct deposit or *online payments *note online payments will incur a fee. Credit card payments will incur a merchant services fee.
6. The Designer shall be entitled to withhold delivery of any item of merchandise or the further performance of services should Client fail to timely make any payments due to the Designer.
7. For Concept Designs, a single revision to each item selected is provided without further charge. Any changes to the Client brief requiring rework, or additional Design Services conducted outside this Agreement will be charged at designers hourly rate.
8. Hourly rate charging, when applicable, is calculated to include: A minimum of one hour will be charged for hourly rate work in and out of the Studio. Pro rata will be charged when working in the studio after the first hour.
9. The Designer’s drawings and specifications are conceptual and intended for design intent only. They are not to be used for architectural or engineering purposes. Designer does not provide architectural or engineering services.
10. Where work or services by other trades are undertaken, the Client shall appoint and pay Other Persons under separate agreements to perform such work or services. Designer is not responsible for the competence and performance of other trades work and services, but shall require them to Collaborate with the Designer. The Designer can obtain quotes on your behalf for Other Persons at a cost of the designers hourly rate.
11. All concepts, drawings and specifications prepared by Designer and all copyrights and other proprietary rights applicable thereto remain at all times the Designer’s property. Project documents may not be used by Client for any purpose other than completion of Project by Designer.
12. The Designer cannot guarantee that actual prices for merchandise and/or interior installations and other costs or services as presented to Client will not vary if an extended amount of time has passed since paying in full for the items.
13. Where variations to the Design are undertaken without consultation with the Designer, the Designer cannot guarantee that the Design outcome will be as intended by the Designer or meet the Client’s requirements.
14. The contractor and/or builder is responsible for the supervision of the works during the construction stage and that the builder/contractor is required (under the provisions of the relevant Building Act) to warrant the work, upon completion, to be fit for purpose.
15. The Designer does not supervise the construction of the works or provide supervision services as part of this agreement. For on-site advice regarding other trades the designers hourly rate will be charged.
16. Where natural materials have been selected for a project, they may change in appearance or dimension following exposure to climatic conditions and use and this is normal behaviour for such materials.
17. The Designer does not guarantee the appearance, dimensions, consistency of colour and/or texture of any natural materials selected following approval of samples of the particular natural materials by the client.
18. The Designer shall have the right to take and publish photographs of the Project. The Designer shall obtain verbal consent of the Client. The Client shall give reasonable access to the Project for this purpose for 12 months after practical completion of the Project.
19. The Client shall provide, free of charge, all the information in the Client’s possession or reasonably obtainable, which is necessary for the proper and timely performance of the Services and the Designer shall be entitled to rely on this information.
20. The Client shall give decisions and approvals and shall take such actions necessary for the proper and timely performance of the Services.
21. The Client shall supply the Brief and shall advise the relative priorities of the Brief, the Project Cost and the timetable.
22. The Client shall hold the supplier(s) and not the Designer responsible for the utility and quality of their goods.
23. Acceptance of Agreement. The Client may accept this quote in any one of the following ways:
a. by the Client By signing and returning a copy of this quote, or
b. By confirming orally or in writing or email that the client accepts the terms of this Costs Agreement; or
c. By continuing to instruct Inside Home Living to undertake work on the client’s behalf, after receiving this Costs Agreement, even if the client does not sign it or otherwise confirm that it is accepted.
d. If the client accepts this quote, the client will be bound by the terms and conditions herein.
Guarantees and Limitations:
Refunds or exchanges are not permitted for change of mind. An exchange or refund is obtainable if the item is faulty deemed by the manufacturer or broken. Manufacturer guarantees cover replacement of manufacturing errors, defective materials, or parts at no cost to the Client. However, these guarantees do not encompass additional trips by the installer and do not apply to merchandise subjected to abuse, misuse, neglect, alteration, or damage caused directly or indirectly by the Client, family members, or house guests.
Any additional charges not covered by manufacturer guarantees will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, aiming to provide fair and timely client services. The Designer cannot guarantee the wearing, fading, or latent defects of any fabric, material, or article. However, to the extent permitted by law, the Client will benefit from all guarantees and warranties possessed by the Designer against suppliers and manufacturers.
Cancellation and Acceptance:
Once custom manufacturing has commenced, orders cannot be canceled for change of mind. Cancellation of in-stock items may be available at the discretion of the supplier. Cancellation fees may occur up to 50% of the cost of the product if it cannot be returned.

· to tradespeople involved in your projects;
· to our service providers, agents and contractors such as delivery drivers that provide services to us and/or help us to provide our services to you;

We may hold your personal information in either electronic or hard copy form. We use a variety of physical and electronic security measures to keep your personal information secure from misuse, interference, loss or unauthorised use or disclosure.
However, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information. The internet is not a secure environment. If you do use the Internet to send us any information, including your email address, bank or credit card details, please be aware that it will be sent at your own risk.
You have rights under the Privacy Act to:
· request access to your personal information;
· ask us to update or correct any information that is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated.
